Odisha is the tenth most populous state of India and has a diverse population of many religions and communities. At the census 2011, out of the 4.19 Crore population, around 3.93 crores (93.63%) have returned themselves as followers of the Hindu religion, 91 lakhs (2.17%) as Muslims or followers of Islam, and 1.16 Crores (2.77%) as Christians In addition 0.18% Stated as No religion and 1.24% are other religions.
