Religion in Andhra Pradesh 

Andhra Pradesh is the tenth most populous state in India and has a diverse population comprising many religions and communities. According to the 2011 census, out of the 4.93 crore population, approximately 4.48 crores (90.87%) identified themselves as followers of the Hindu religion, 36 lakhs (7.33%) as Muslims or followers of Islam, and 6.82 lakhs (1.38%) as Christians. Additionally, 0.33% stated no religion, and 0.09% followed other religions.
